Its horrible, terrible in fact. I just spent my past 8 hours trying to choose all the lights for my house, and now I’m both tired and frustrated. Tired because it’s almost for the whole day. Frustrated because my idea is somewhat totally different from the person who I’m going to be with for the rest of my life! Have you ever face that when doing up your house?
I know it’s common, and I’d heard from a lot of people telling me that it’s common. But as much as it’s common, do you know how to handle it? Can you actually handle it?
From the downlights, to the lights for the room, till the dining lights. From designs to budget. And this is only for the lights!
Crashes of ideas will definitely exist between a couple. How can it not be, since two persons can’t be born exactly the same, with the same personality and thinking. Yes, they can be similar and thus reduces the amount of arguments, but otherwise, no matter how minimal, there still will be some conflicts.
So what to do if there’s some crashes in ideas, e.g. a simple but expensive dining light versus a complicated and cheaper light? I’m telling you, the best thing to do is to choose another one that will compromise both! Easier said than done, of course. But that’s the ONLY choice if you still want to be with that person.
What to do… that’s life.
