Monday Blues… but I’m not wearing any blue on me. I’m quite sure I woke up at the wrong note today. Hadn’t slept well last night, probably partly due to the comments made by the lil’ hub while we are chatting and lying on the bed.

It’s true that the house was in quite a mess. There were bags of things everywhere and none of us tidied it. I mean, put it this way, if I don’t keep, the lil’ hub will leave it as it is too, since I’m the one doing most of the whatever household chores that we are doing. But for the past few days, I’m really too tired and shagged by the time we reached home to do anything at all, not even mopping of the floors on alternate days. And the weekends were spent outside researching and getting some things for the house.

And then, he just made the comment “See, we shouldn’t get married because we both are just too lazy to do any household chores. And you are always full of excuses, saying you are tired, pregnant and thus can’t do this and that. Luckily my mum is shifting in with us, otherwise, I’ll definitely get those hourly maid to help.”

*OUCH*

Suddenly whatever that I’d been trying to help (boil water, clean table and kitchen tops, tidy the bed, mop the floor, run errands for the house, clear things here and there etc.) for the past few months had been dismissed and vanished without a trace of knowledge nor appreciation. Suddenly, I’m deemed to be somewhat useless.

I do admit. I’m not really that hardworking, when it comes to household chores. But at least I know since I got married and pregnant, I tried to do whatever I can amidst all the taboos (already), and when I have the energy. And those that I really have some problems, e.g. squatting down or bending for too long, yes, I did mention that I’m unable to do it and asked for help.

Compared to what the lil’ hub did, I can confidently said I did 80% of the pathetic household chores that we are doing.

And so, after I woke up this morning, here’s what I did – washed up, cleared and threw away the rubbish, unpacked and stored away all the books/magazines and bags of things (at least 6) that had been lying around in the living room, tidied the bed and closed all the windows. While the lil’ hub (as usual), washed up and prepared for work only.

With the hub carrying at least 3 bags, I took over the locking of the doors and since the wholemeal bread was out of stock yesterday, I gave him the 2 little bread that we bought yesterday but alas… pea brain is definitely still better than being brainless. As tired as I was (and since I’m rushing to pack all those things in the morning), I kept quiet all the way to the carpark until the idiotic lil’ hub said, “Do you think I am superman and can open the car’s door when I’m carrying so many things?”

Goodness Lord. Can’t you JUST ASK? I would have gladly just take the car’s key from you and open it.

What’s more… I opened the car, sat inside, and he stupidly said, “Can you start the engine?”

That’s it. As much as I didn’t really want to argue early in the morning as most of my energy had been depleted, and little milkie seems to have sense something is amiss, and had been poking me somewhere in the tummy, causing some discomfort, I couldn’t help but rebuke back, “I already never say anything when I’m packing and doing so many things early in the morning and now you are complaining early in the morning. And if it’s that easy for me to start the engine, I probably would have but can’t you see that tummy in front of me? Do you think it’s that easy to bend over and start the engine?”

He argued back something but shut himself up shortly. Guess he finally realised I wasn’t really that happy.

I know he’s very tired and feeling stress, especially from a job that’s he’s not very happy about. But did I complain and nag in front of his face before that he didn’t do this, and he didn’t do that? Hardly. He knew that too. If I need help, did I not ask? Most of the time I did instead of sarcastically say something. I know he couldn’t handle especially when suddenly his mum needs to handover the flat to the 4 China students by 7 March (Yes, the mum rented it out yesterday), and so I tried to plan out his schedule (which wasn’t a lot of TO-DOs). I know he felt overwhelmed by the constant flow of things – house, renovation, wedding, new job, baby etc. But did I NOT ease him with a lot less problems already? (Other than financially which I’m quite tight on my side at times)

I don’t know… Again, I think I woke up at the wrong note today. I’m probably not good enough. *SOB* I have my own workload and problems too, you know? I go home everyday, not complaining, doesn’t mean everything is okay at work.

I really am happy that I have little milkie. The thought of her with me really can liften up my mood. Bought her a top, bottom, mittens and bootees, and 2 towels yesterday. Hope she’ll like it… Can’t wait to see her soon (through ultrasound)…

  36. Re-create the approver for the workflow of projects
