Food – Malaysian Food Street @ Sentosa

After a whole morning of indoor activities (half of which where I just sat aside to watch *sulk*), it’s time to head on towards the Universal Studio Singapore! And that will be my second visit there. Not sure if I did blog about it previously, but lil’ hub and I did “get married” in Far Far Away land at that point, at the Donkey Show. Come to think of it… it’s not really that bad, isn’t it?

But before we went in to play the “Amazing Race” designed by the Team Building company, our stomach needs to be filled up first. So a glance around and we decided to try the food in the Malaysian Food Street, since we heard that it’s supposed to be cheaper than the food in USS.

So here we go! Walking into a foodcourt that resembles the old settings of a Malaysian Kampong Food Street, with different stalls selling all the Malaysian-like food such as Bah Kut Teh, Ngor-Hiang, Fried Hokkien Mee and Kway Teow etc. It’s situated somewhere on the left of the entrance of USS (when you are facing the USS).

Me? As much as I’m “forbid” to eat such unhealthy food, but hey! I’m outside and nobody is watching me! *LOL* Guess what I took? FRIED KWAY TEOW from the “Penang Lim Brothers’ Char Koay Teow”! *YUM YUM*

The female colleague in my team had been really nice enough to help me order it while I wait at the seat. It took quite a while before our food are ready (using queue number) since there seems to be a lot of people waiting for it. But I guess the wait seems to be worth it.

For a $5.00 plate of Char Kway Teow at such places in Sentosa, it SURE is considered CHEAP! Do you know the minimal price of food in USS? At least at $10, which looks as normal as can be. And what’s more, it tasted quite good.

The ambience seems quite nice, rather spacious for a foodcourt, and definitely quite clean. But then you’ll need to put your finished bowls and plates onto the situated areas with the trays, which I think is a rather good habit to cultivate.

Good place to try and go if you decide to go USS, and would like to save some money!
